A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §41-3-12, relating to providing that any next of kin who is criminally responsible for the death of a relative may not be involved in the decedent’s burial arrangements.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


ARTICLE 3. PROVISIONS AS TO CONSTRUCTION.


§41-3-12. Burial arrangements prohibition.

Any next of kin who is criminally responsible for the death of a relative is prohibited from being involved in the decedent’s burial arrangements.

 

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to prohibit any next of kin who is criminally responsible for the death of a relative from being involved in the decedent’s burial arrangements.
